| Welcome to pacificbasinscoutreach.com, the site that helps to provide boy scout uniforms to scouts throughout Micronesia. Scouting in the Micronesia is presently in a state of development and growth. Scouting has existed in the islands since at least the 1970s, and may have been developed as early as the 1950s. Micronesia consists of many hundreds of small islands spread over a large region of the western Pacific. Politically, the area is divided among many nation-states and territories. While most of the political divisions in Micronesia are soverign nations, due to their history as part of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands their scouting programs are part of Boy Scouts of America and are administered by the Aloha Council Pacific Basin District. There are many active scouting units throughout Micronesia with the strongest units on the islands of Pohnpei (Federated States of Micronesia) and Majuro (Republic of the Marshall Islands). While scouts in these units may have plenty of scouting spirit, they lack many basic resources that we can provide! |
